ABOUT A NANYANG HERITAGE

A Nanyang Heritage values the tradition and heritage of the people of Nanyang (referring to the Chinese who migrated from China to Malaysia/Singapore). "Nan" in Chinese refers to South and "Yang" in Chinese refers to Sea.

During the early days, our ancestors migrated to South East Asia (Malaya) and have then adapted to the local culture and food. Thus, creating dishes and snacks that are a mixed of different cultures and heritage of the locals. Today, most Malaysia/Singapore foods and snacks has the Chinese influence and adapting with the local Southern ingredients like coconuts, usage of banana leaves and much more.

A Nanyang Heritage focus to bring these tasty traditional foods available to as much countries as possible. Here, we hope to bring the taste of the good old days continues...
